Brand identity and visual system for a student-led STEM showcase event.

The Project

Utah Tech's Discovery and Design Day merged with Southern Utah's STEM Fest to form a single, expanded event showcasing student work and industry innovation. We were responsible for rebranding and renaming the event, now known as UTXplore.

The Problem

The event needed an identity that could unite two previously separate audiences—K–12 students and industry professionals—while remaining flexible enough to showcase dozens of student projects across disciplines.

The Approach

We designed a modular visual system that balances playfulness and clarity, allowing individual projects to stand out while remaining visually tied to the larger event.

The Outcome

The UTXplore identity was designed as a flexible visual system that could scale across a large, multi-audience event. Modular layouts and a cohesive typographic system allowed individual projects to stand out while maintaining a unified event presence across print and digital applications.

Due to a change in scope midway through the project, the client moved in a new direction. Although these concepts were not carried through to final production, they represent a strong creative exploration and demonstrate the depth of our process.
